FAQ
-
What is the difference between Cloud PACS and traditional on-premise PACS?
On-premise PACS stores data on hospital internal servers and hardware, allowing access only within the hospital network.
In contrast, Cloud PACS stores patient data on remote servers via the internet, enabling access and management from anywhere through a web browser.
Cloud PACS is more convenient for remote work and data sharing with external users. -
What security standards does IRM’s Cloud PACS comply with?
IRM has selected public cloud provider to build the Cloud PACS infrastructure.
In addition to the standard security features provided by public cloud services, IRM successfully passes the IHE (Integrating the Healthcare Enterprise) interoperability tests every year, ensuring compliance with healthcare standards (HL7, DICOM, etc.) and security guidelines for data exchange between medical information systems. -
What are the advantages of Cloud PACS in technical support?
With on-premise PACS, when performance issues or failures occur, the hospital’s IT staff must identify the problem and report it to the vendor.
Regular maintenance and technical support require on-site visits or remote access, making the process complex.
In contrast, Cloud PACS features real-time monitoring, which immediately notifies engineers when an issue arises.
Maintenance and troubleshooting are handled directly within the cloud system, enabling faster and more streamlined support. -
How is Cloud PACS billing processed, and how can I make payments?
The cloud pricing model charges a monthly fee based on storage capacity and the number of users.
Click on ‘Inquire’ to submit a Cloud PACS quote request, and we will send you a pricing estimate. -
How does Cloud PACS integrate with other medical information systems (EMR)?
IRM’s Cloud PACS offers three integration methods for connecting with medical information systems (EMR):
HL7 Integration: Uses HL7, the international standard for medical information exchange, to connect IRM Cloud PACS with EMR.
RESTful API Integration: Connects IRM Cloud PACS with EMR through the integration API provided by IRM Cloud PACS.
Database (DB) Integration: Uses database tables to enable integration between IRM Cloud PACS and EMR.
For security, a separate integration program installed within the medical institution connects the EMR database.**
